The Police's East Rutherford, New Jersey concert

In a word...AWFUL. I'm a big fan of The Police and Sting. I waited in eager anticipation when they performed at the Grammy Awards a few months back. That was a sign of things to come. In my opinion, when you have a band, say, like The Rolling Stones who have been touring forever, it's nice to hear a different take on old favorites. However, when you haven't been together since Reagan was in office, don't try to get all artistic. The fans, both new and old, want to hear the hits the way they are supposed to be played. Sting was lagging behind the lyrics all night long. Every song they played was altered from the original. The songs were performed slower, some had 10 minute jams in them for no reason, some were sung at much lower octaves. It was like a bad lounge act. I've seen about 15 concerts or so, and this by far was THE MOST DISAPPOINTING SHOW EVER. Many fans walked out while the band was still playing. They should have stayed broken up. I give it a 2 on a scale of 10.
