Wow! What a great concert. I'm old enough to have seen
them in their heyday, but never did. Now I am glad to say that I have
seen them. They sound incredible and have more energy than most
performers half their age. The crowd at Madison Square Garden was on their feet,
cheering and clapping from the outset, and the band did not
disappoint. They played for close to two hours and the instrumentals and vocals
were tight, and the boys seemed to be having a great time-- smiling,
jumping around and playing to the crowd, even to the folks with seats
behind the stage. Excellent lighting effects and big-screen graphics, and
the sound mix was outstanding--no complaints there. Sting sounds great,
Andy was amazing, and Stewart is a machine! If they are coming to a
city near you, do what you can to get tickets--it is well worth it.
