The Police's Charlottesville, Virginia concertNovember 6, 2007Review by Den. Saw them at the new John Paul Jones arena where I've seen several shows-the acoustics are great, they have a state of the art digital sound system that accentuated Sting's crytal clear vocals and Andy's guitar riffs. Message in a bottle is a great lead off song. They played all the songs I wanted to hear such as driven to tears, walking on the moon, wrapped around my finger. Roxanne was my favorite. The three of them appeared to be having fun playing music together again. I saw them in 78' at a small club in Va. Beach called Rouges' Gallery and again on the synchronicity tour. The energy is still there 30 years later.I would like to see this show recorded for dvd, it was that good.I did not hear technical mistakes at this show that other reviewers have pointed out throughout the tour.If you can get a ticket, get one!Opening band was Fictionplane. Worth getting there early. They are getting a certain amount of hype because Joe Sumner is Sting's son, but they are good on their own.
