The Police's Dublin, Ireland concertOctober 6, 2007Review by Judith Coffey. FANTASTIC - approx 83,000 singing and dancing. I thought the lighting was perfect - when the screen went RED during Roxanne - wow! I couldn't fault anything - the selection of songs, the new mixing of old favourites - superb. The atmosphere was electric - and everyone surrounding me on the pitcth just seemed to have a big grin on their face throughout the concert. There was enough audience interaction - and of course being Irish, you just shouldn't couldn't shut us up when it came down to the 'AYE OH'S' of various choruses. It was fun, it was nostalgic, it was just fantastic. Stewart Copeland was truly amazing - Andy Summer's played his heart out - and Sting still hits hi-notes and jumped around the stage with the energy of a 20 year old. We had 2 encores and when the 3 took their final bow, linked up, it just felt like I attended a very special event. I've waited 30 years to see The Police perform live - and I wasn't disappointed. Thanks Guys, I can't stop beaming! J X
