Thought the guys were great especially Sting but I was a
tad embrassed at the response of the Irish crowd. There was no
traditional OLE OLE OLE or singing every line that rings out at every big
event. Was up in the stand as I couldn't get a pitch ticket and I only got
into it when I stood up at the encore. In fairness to Sting he tried to
get the crowd going but the problem seemed to be that alot of people
are older Police fans who obviously don't attend concerts(dressed as if
going for dinner)and bandwagon jumpers who looked aghast when some less
well known(not for proper fans)were played. I heard people even
comment that they didn't play 'fields of gold' or 'englishman in New York'
that's Sting plenty oppurtunity to catch him on his own folks. Highlights
for me were Roxanne, Can't Stand Losing You and Every Little Thing.
Honest opinion:Great set by the band, mediocre crowd.
