I'd been looking forward to this show for months! The
atmosphere was good in the Millenium stadium; the roof was closed and
both the support acts (Fiction Plane and Mr Hudson and the library) were
pretty good. The Police took to the stage at 8.20 and played with alot
of energy and finesse for two hours. 'Driven to tears' and 'Can't stand
losing you' were two definite high points of the gig for me, but I have
to be honest and say that for quieter songs like 'Wrapped around your
finger', Andy Summers' guitar wasn't loud and clear enough. In 'Every
little thing she does' he seemed to be playing some really nice guitar
lines but once again, it wasn't cutting through. Oh well, nothing's
perfect. All in all, a nice show.
